Description

This admission free event in Tokyo, Japan was the first ever chance for the public to try out the Nintendo 3DS, after it was only shown at press-only tradeshows previously. During the 3 days of the show, over 26,000 people attended ((http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20110112-00000030-mantan-game)) and got to play game demos, see live stage presentations, trailers on screen as well as self-running demos on 3DS units.

Parental controls

A warning on the event page is saying that the Nintendo 3DS, like every other stereoscopic 3D device, should not be used by children under the age of 6, as it could harm their vision development. Therefore, children under that age are not allowed at Nintendo World 2011. The Nintendo 3DS hardware will have a parental control system which allows the 3D mode to be locked.
