What is a “GameScore”?

A GameScore is Planet 3DS’ representation of the overall quality of a game in a single score, reaching from 1 to 100. The higher the number, the better the game has been received by critics and players.

It is essentially a percentile average value, that is computed over all reviews and user scores for a certain game. We include review scores from all over the world, combined with user ratings from a worldwide community.

How are GameScores computed?

A GameScore is computed as an average value over all review and user scores for a certain game, whereas review scores are weighted with a factor of 10 and user ratings with a factor of 1. To receive comparable numbers, review scores for a game are first converted to equivalent percentile scores.
